Does being able to code in Java, HTML, CSS, and PHP make you multilingual? Call it insanity, but I love being in a dark, candle-lit room staring at a wall of code for hours. Turning special characters and half-words into fully functional websites is my specialty.
So your website works? That don't impress me much. Do you have a button masher in your family? I do (sorry, Mom). If your website isn't intuitive and easy to navigate, people won't stick around. Before I even starting putting code on screen, we will make sure it just makes sense. I won't let you have a visually stunning website that angers your current and potential customers.
A functioning website is great, but who wants 50 shades of sRGB? Starting my career in graphic design means I approach everything from a visual stanpoint first.
